Faith in the World

Choose a god.
Earn their power.

In the world of Rogue, worship is woven into the fabric of civilization. Each god claims dominion over a fundamental aspect of existence, and mortals choose which divine force speaks to their deepest convictions. A cleric's path begins with a choice: whose teachings will guide them? Once bound, a follower gains powers tied directly to their deity's nature. Faith here is not passive reverence - it is a social structure, a chain of command, a channel of fellowship, and a source of sacred strength.

Symbol of Loralei

The Light Bearer · Aurin

Loralei

Goddess of Pleasure, Desire and Prosperity

Loralei rose from the first dawn, and she teaches that the heart is the source of all true power. Joy is the fire that deepens the spirit; beauty is both revelation and strength; secrecy dims the heart, for nothing real can flourish in darkness. Her followers walk openly in her light as healers, guides, and keepers of lore. She stands in direct opposition to Loviatar: where the Light Bearer offers comfort and mercy, the Unbroken insists that truth demands pain - a fundamental divide in the divine order.

Cleric Path of Loralei

Dawn Song, Golden Chorus, Radiant Word, Tide Blessing, Mercy Light

Healing through light and song, restoration through the goddess's gentle mysteries.

Symbol of Loviatar

The Unbroken · Morrigan

Loviatar

Goddess of Wisdom, Vengeance and Suffering

Loviatar awakened in the deepest shadow, born from the first understanding of fragility. She is clarity itself: illusions hinder growth, and comfort conceals what must be faced. Suffering is the forge that uncovers the true self, and truth is found only when every shield is stripped away. Her followers endure hardship as purification, refining their spirits through trials and scars. Her faith clashes with Loralei's mercy, and stands against Thalos, whose wild freedom runs counter to her demand for deliberate transformation through suffering.

Cleric Path of Loviatar

Scourge, Scar Oath, Refining Pain, Will of Iron, Bleed for Me

Strength forged in suffering and unwavering devotion.

Symbol of Warrus

The Warlord · Olympus

Warrus

God of War, Battle and Order

Warrus awoke from the roar of mountains and the fire of the earth. He teaches discipline, unity, and purpose, seeing in mortal conflict the potential for greatness when channeled through formation and order. Battle is the crucible in which truth burns away all weakness; the spear and the oath define civilization. His followers are duty-bound protectors who crush the corrupt and defend the worthy through steel and unyielding will. He stands at war with Thalos, whose rejection of fixed design strikes at the heart of ordered society - where Warrus builds walls, Thalos tears them down.

Cleric Path of Warrus

War Banner, Oath of Steel, Warhammer Strike, Rallying Cry, Hold Grim

Power through discipline, victory through unbreakable formation and duty.

Symbol of Thalos

The Stormborn · Iasos

Thalos

God of Nature, the Sea and Storms

When a falling star struck the ocean, Thalos rose crowned in lightning. He claims no throne and raises no walls, for freedom is sacred and instinct is truth, and nature bows to no fixed design. His followers are passionate and fierce, taught to earn strength openly beneath storms and tides rather than hide behind the artifice of civilization. He stands against both Warrus and Loviatar - rejecting the war-god's rigid order and the goddess's demand for suffering, believing instead that strength flows from wild freedom and the raw power of the natural world.

Cleric Path of Thalos

Call Lightning, Storm Cleanse, Gale Step, Hard Truth, Thunder Judgment

Mastery through the storm's judgment and nature's ceaseless power.

Symbol of Morbis

The Silent Witness · The Underworld

Morbis

God of Death, Memories and the Underworld

Morbis formed in the quiet fractures of creation, from memories unclaimed and truths unspoken. He does not debate the living gods, for their quarrels belong to the surface - yet all fear Morbis, because memory spares no one. Oaths bind even after death, and forgetting is the greatest sin. His followers respect the boundary between life and death, honor the fallen, and understand that every life leaves an indelible mark. Morbis stands apart from the conflicts of the living gods, yet his authority supersedes them all: death is inevitable, and memory is the final judge.

Cleric Path of Morbis

Memory Bind, Sanctify Dead, Spiral Key, Soul Ledger, Weight of Memory

Power drawn from memory, death, and the underworld's eternal records.

The Faithful

The rites of worship

Religion in Rogue is both personal faith and civic structure. Followers pray at altars to commune with their deity and restore Faith - a tangible measure of divine favor. Prayer requires focus and time, but the reward is spiritual renewal. The religion channel lets the faithful share news and fellowship; only those who have sworn the binding oath of induction may use it.
